In November 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings Including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works, which included the work German caravan Passing Through A Wadi by Rudolf Hellgrewe. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,937.48), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rudolf Hellgrewe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Germancrossing The Wadi sold at auction in April 2018 with the realized price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,083.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings Including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works durch, in der auch die Arbeit German caravan Passing Through A Wadi von Rudolf Hellgrewe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.937,48) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Rudolf Hellgrewe; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Germancrossing The Wadi im April 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.083,40).
