In December last year Bonhams held the auction The Gift of Photographs, which included the work Steve McQueen Smoking by Roy Schatt. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,813.80), 36% above the upper estimate. Other works by Roy Schatt have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,342.22) in June 2007 for the work James Dean, 1954.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion The Gift of Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Steve McQueen Smoking von Roy Schatt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.813,80) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Roy Schatt haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.342,22) im Juni 2007 für die Arbeit James Dean, 1954 beobachtet.
