This artwork by Roy Lichtenstein achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November 2021. In the Pop x Culture auction, the work WHAAM!, 1967 sold for GBP 21,500.00 (€ 25,243.02) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Roy Lichtenstein erzielte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pop x Culture wurde die Arbeit WHAAM!, 1967 für GBP 21.500,00 (€ 25.243,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Lichtenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nurse im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.365.000,00 (€ 90.290.664,65).
