Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Colossal! Monumental Works from the 1980s, which included the work Day Into Night by Roy Fowler. The price achieved of USD 750.00 (€ 673.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500.00 – 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roy Fowler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rebels Making Powder In The Forest, which sold at auction in July 2019 for USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,909.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Colossal! Monumental Works from the 1980s durch, in der auch die Arbeit Day Into Night von Roy Fowler zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 750,00 (€ 673,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Roy Fowler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rebels Making Powder In The Forest beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.909,25) versteigert wurde.
