Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work The Battle of Poike Ditch by Roy Andersen for USD 2,375.00 (€ 1,801.15). This price was achieved in the auction The National Geographic Collection: The Art of Exploration at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Andersen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Voice of the Deep Quiet in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 50,312.50 (€ 42,637.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Battle of Poike Ditch von Roy Andersen für USD 2.375,00 (€ 1.801,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The National Geographic Collection: The Art of Exploration bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Andersen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Voice of the Deep Quiet im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.312,50 (€ 42.637,71).
