Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Gulls over a lake by Rowland Hill for GBP 192.00 (€ 282.54). This price was achieved in the auction The Irish Sale Part II at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowland Hill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view across the coast in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,179.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Gulls over a lake von Rowland Hill für GBP 192,00 (€ 282,54) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Irish Sale Part II bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rowland Hill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view across the coast im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.179,27).
