Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ross Bleckner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in February this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Zebra sold for USD 20,400.00 (€ 19,241.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ross Bleckner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of USD 277,200.00 (€ 258,317.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ross Bleckner erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Zebra für USD 20.400,00 (€ 19.241,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ross Bleckner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 277.200,00 (€ 258.317,03).
