Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Welcome by Rose Barton was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,577.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rose Barton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunbeams in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 29,875.00 (€ 46,784.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Welcome von Rose Barton kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.577,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rose Barton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunbeams im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 29.875,00 (€ 46.784,65).
