Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Milking Time by Rose Barton was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,250.00 (€ 6,103.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Rose Barton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunbeams in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 29,875.00 (€ 46,784.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Milking Time von Rose Barton kam im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.250,00 (€ 6.103,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rose Barton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunbeams im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 29.875,00 (€ 46.784,65).
