Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Key and Cue, No. 1609 - Sunset That Screens, Reveals by Roni Horn was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 75,600.00 (€ 89,565.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roni Horn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Water (The River Thames, For Example), which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 378,000.00 (€ 324,547.09).

Die Arbeit Key and Cue, No. 1609 - Sunset That Screens, Reveals von Roni Horn wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 75.600,00 (€ 89.565,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Roni Horn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Water (The River Thames, For Example) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 378.000,00 (€ 324.547,09) versteigert wurde.
