In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work The Bridge by Ronald Ossory Dunlop. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,672.43), 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ronald Ossory Dunlop have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work London In The Rain in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,501.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Bridge von Ronald Ossory Dunlop zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.672,43) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ronald Ossory Dunlop auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit London In The Rain im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.501,94).
