In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Liz-Mao #2 (Legend to Legend Series) by Ronald Manullang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,439.42), 52% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ronald Manullang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work MM-Mao: Applause (from the Legend to Legend series), which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 312,500.00 (€ 30,990.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 52 % übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Liz-Mao #2 (Legend to Legend Series) von Ronald Manullang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.439,42) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ronald Manullang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit MM-Mao: Applause (from the Legend to Legend series) beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 312.500,00 (€ 30.990,14) versteigert wurde.
