In May 2002 Christies in London held the auction THE IRISH SALE, which included the work Vale of Clara, County Wicklow, Ireland, British Railways by Ronald Lampitt. The price achieved of GBP 940.00 (€ 1,472.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00.
