Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of AUD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 3,107.00 (€ 1,909.89). Admittedly, works by Ronald Charles Robertson-Swann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Magnetic North in March 2006 with an auction result of AUD 15,535.00 (€ 9,169.48).

Die Arbeit Figure And Ground At The Dance von Ronald Charles Robertson-Swann kam im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 3.107,00 (€ 1.909,89) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ronald Charles Robertson-Swann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Magnetic North im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 15.535,00 (€ 9.169,48).
