This artwork by Ronald Albert Martin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2010. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Mass Plane Black, One In The Series sold for CAD 15,600.00 (€ 11,655.72) - well above the upper estimate of CAD 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ronald Albert Martin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lion Hunt: After Delacroix sold at auction in May 2011 with the realized price of CAD 27,000.00 (€ 19,386.06).
