Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ronald Albert Martin could be acquired at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Untitled (Mars Yellow) changed hands for CAD 4,500.00 (€ 3,231.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of CAD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ronald Albert Martin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lion Hunt: After Delacroix in May 2011 with an auction result of CAD 27,000.00 (€ 19,386.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ronald Albert Martin konnte im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in Toronto für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Canadian Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Mars Yellow) für CAD 4.500,00 (€ 3.231,01) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ronald Albert Martin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lion Hunt: After Delacroix im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 27.000,00 (€ 19.386,06).
