Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Mère Cotivet by Romuald Hazoumè was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,049.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Romuald Hazoumè - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alexandra, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,497.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Mère Cotivet von Romuald Hazoumè kam im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.049,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Romuald Hazoumè mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alexandra beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.497,54) versteigert wurde.
