Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work Alfred by Romuald Hazoumè. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,192.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Romuald Hazoumè - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alexandra, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,497.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alfred von Romuald Hazoumè zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.192,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Romuald Hazoumè mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alexandra beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.497,54) versteigert wurde.
