Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Victory of Cornelis Speelman over the Kingdom of Macassar and Radjah Palacca, and the war of 1666 until 1669 (Hollstein 81; Landwehr p.59) by Romeyn de Hooghe was auctioned at Christies in Paris in January 2012. The price achieved of EUR 625.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romeyn de Hooghe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arrivée D'Un Cortège En Chine Par La Mer in May last year with an auction result of EUR 17,640.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Victory of Cornelis Speelman over the Kingdom of Macassar and Radjah Palacca, and the war of 1666 until 1669 (Hollstein 81; Landwehr p.59) von Romeyn de Hooghe kam im Januar 2012 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 625,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Romeyn de Hooghe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arrivée D'Un Cortège En Chine Par La Mer im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.640,00.
