Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Vase De Pivoines Dans Le Jardin by Roger Godchaux for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,385.16). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roger Godchaux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Deux lionnes à la rivière, which sold at auction in November last year for EUR 14,432.00.

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00.
