In August 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Sandbanks by moonlight by Roger de la Corbière. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 701.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Other works by Roger de la Corbière have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2002 the work Au coucher du soleil, St. Jacut was auctioned for GBP 470.00 (€ 749.67).
