Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Roger Ballen could be acquired at Sothebys in London in April 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Show Off changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 711.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger Ballen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dresie Et Casie, Twins, Western Transvaal, 1993 in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roger Ballen konnte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Show Off für GBP 625,00 (€ 711,81) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roger Ballen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dresie Et Casie, Twins, Western Transvaal, 1993 im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.500,00.
