Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,890.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Roelof Jansz van Vries have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Wooded River Landscape With Fishermen In A Boat And Hunters On A Track, A Town Beyond in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.

Die Arbeit Three Figures Passing Along A Road Before A Cottage; Two Figures Passing Along A Road Before A Cottage von Roelof Jansz van Vries kam im Juli 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.890,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roelof Jansz van Vries auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Wooded River Landscape With Fishermen In A Boat And Hunters On A Track, A Town Beyond im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
