In April 2002 Christies in London held the auction The Dr Anton C.R.Dreesmann Collection Old Master Pictures, which included the work A wooded river landscape with anglers by a cottage by Roelof Jansz van Vries. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 14,100.00 (€ 22,813.43), 41% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roelof Jansz van Vries - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Wooded River Landscape With Fishermen In A Boat And Hunters On A Track, A Town Beyond, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 60,250.00.

Im April 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Dr Anton C.R.Dreesmann Collection Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A wooded river landscape with anglers by a cottage von Roelof Jansz van Vries zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 14.100,00 (€ 22.813,43) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
