Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2004 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work A wooded landscape with a peasant greeting a rider by Roelof Jansz van Vries. The price achieved of GBP 17,925.00 (€ 25,368.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roelof Jansz van Vries - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Wooded River Landscape With Fishermen In A Boat And Hunters On A Track, A Town Beyond, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 60,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A wooded landscape with a peasant greeting a rider von Roelof Jansz van Vries zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.925,00 (€ 25.368,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Roelof Jansz van Vries mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Wooded River Landscape With Fishermen In A Boat And Hunters On A Track, A Town Beyond beobachtet, die im April 2008 für EUR 60.250,00 versteigert wurde.
