Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, which included the work A cottage by a river by Roelof Jansz van Vries. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,059.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roelof Jansz van Vries achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Wooded River Landscape With Fishermen In A Boat And Hunters On A Track, A Town Beyond in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cottage by a river von Roelof Jansz van Vries zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.059,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roelof Jansz van Vries erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Wooded River Landscape With Fishermen In A Boat And Hunters On A Track, A Town Beyond im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
