Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work 'Floor Lamp' by Roe Ethridge for USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,199.79). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roe Ethridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Myla With Column in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 33,750.00 (€ 24,743.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'Floor Lamp' von Roe Ethridge für USD 1.386,00 (€ 1.199,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roe Ethridge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Myla With Column im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.750,00 (€ 24.743,40).
