Upper estimate price exceeded by 42 %.
In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Lamalera Lama-lama by Roby Dwi Antono. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 567,000.00 (€ 68,554.43), 42% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Roby Dwi Antono have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Asih in May last year with an auction result of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 299,178.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lamalera Lama-lama von Roby Dwi Antono zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 567.000,00 (€ 68.554,43) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roby Dwi Antono auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Asih im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 299.178,08).
