Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Waterfall by Robin Treffgarne for GBP 94.00 (€ 144.29). This price was achieved in the auction Twentieth Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Robin Treffgarne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rocks & Water-Reflections in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 587.50 (€ 908.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Waterfall von Robin Treffgarne für GBP 94,00 (€ 144,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robin Treffgarne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rocks & Water-Reflections im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 587,50 (€ 908,73).
