Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Hamlet by Robin Ironside for GBP 60.00 (€ 88.15). This price was achieved in the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 100.00 – 200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robin Ironside achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Classical figures with a sacrificial altar in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 812.50 (€ 1,012.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hamlet von Robin Ironside für GBP 60,00 (€ 88,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100,00 – 200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robin Ironside erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Classical figures with a sacrificial altar im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 812,50 (€ 1.012,34).
