Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Sdc by Roberto Obregón. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,270.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roberto Obregón - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ene Eme y Ene De, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 173,000.00 (€ 157,358.56).
