Despite a disappointment, a good price for Roberto Márquez
In July last year a collector was able to acquire the work La Memoria del Mono by Roberto Márquez for USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,499.71). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Online at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, La Memoria del Mono is the most expensive artwork by Roberto Márquez that we have observed at auction so far.
