Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Flora by Roberto Fontana. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,042.56), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Roberto Fontana have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Souvenirs from the East in April 2001 with an auction result of USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,268.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flora von Roberto Fontana zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.042,56) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roberto Fontana auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Souvenirs from the East im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.225,00 (€ 9.268,65).
