Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Rotsee Mit Blick Auf Pilatus by Robert Zünd was auctioned at Sothebys in Zurich in December 2018, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - CHF 3,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at CHF 9,750.00 (€ 8,655.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Zünd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Haus Zwischen Nussbäumen (Schellenmatt) House Between Walnuts (Grassland Called Schellenmatt) in May 2008 with an auction result of CHF 649,000.00 (€ 400,035.93).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Rotsee Mit Blick Auf Pilatus von Robert Zünd im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in Zürich versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – CHF 3.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit CHF 9.750,00 (€ 8.655,51) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Zünd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Haus Zwischen Nussbäumen (Schellenmatt) House Between Walnuts (Grassland Called Schellenmatt) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 649.000,00 (€ 400.035,93).
