Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work A view of London bridge and the River Thames by Robert Weir Allan for GBP 47.00 (€ 61.43). This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH ART ON PAPER INCLUDING ORIGINAL BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Weir Allan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View Of San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,834.84).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Weir Allan erzielen.
