Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Kneeling acrobat by Robert Bliss. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,941.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Bliss - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Standing Boy On Purple Background, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 10,200.00 (€ 7,626.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kneeling acrobat von Robert Bliss zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.941,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Bliss mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Standing Boy On Purple Background beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 10.200,00 (€ 7.626,74) versteigert wurde.
