Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Houses In Sunlight by Robert Bevan was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 277,200.00 (€ 309,448.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Bevan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Hansom Cab, which sold at auction in November 2019 for GBP 531,000.00 (€ 623,523.82).

Die Arbeit Houses In Sunlight von Robert Bevan wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 277.200,00 (€ 309.448,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Bevan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Hansom Cab beobachtet, die im November 2019 für GBP 531.000,00 (€ 623.523,82) versteigert wurde.
