In March 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman, which included the work In Central Park by Robert Philipp. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,499.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Philipp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Interior Of The Metropolitan Museum in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 28,000.00 (€ 19,353.06).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.499,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Philipp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Interior Of The Metropolitan Museum im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.000,00 (€ 19.353,06).
