Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Before the Sphinx and the Pyramids at Giza; and Sunset before the Pyramids by Robert Murdoch Wright was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,825.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Murdoch Wright - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Breton girl, late from school, which sold at auction in October this year for EUR 7,560.00.

Die Arbeit Before the Sphinx and the Pyramids at Giza; and Sunset before the Pyramids von Robert Murdoch Wright kam im Mai 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.825,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Murdoch Wright mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Breton girl, late from school beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für EUR 7.560,00 versteigert wurde.
