In November 2001 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale including pictures from the, which included the work Lochinver, West Highlands by Robert McGown Coventry. The price achieved of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,609.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert McGown Coventry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mending the lobster creels, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,553.72).
