Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Amsterdam by Robert McGowan Coventry was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2004. The price achieved of GBP 1,015.75 (€ 1,461.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Robert McGowan Coventry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pittenween in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,653.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Amsterdam von Robert McGowan Coventry kam im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.015,75 (€ 1.461,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert McGowan Coventry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pittenween im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.653,89).
