Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2003 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper, which included the work The Rhine at Rheinfelden; and Lake Constance, Austria by Robert Hollands Walker. The price achieved of GBP 94.00 (€ 134.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Hollands Walker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Haddon Hall and the river Wye in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,022.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Rhine at Rheinfelden; and Lake Constance, Austria von Robert Hollands Walker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 94,00 (€ 134,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Hollands Walker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Haddon Hall and the river Wye im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 646,25 (€ 1.022,25).
