Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Self-Portrait by Robert Harris. The price achieved of CAD 7,800.00 (€ 6,095.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Harris - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Interior With Elizabeth Putnam, which sold at auction in November 2011 for CAD 33,000.00 (€ 24,049.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self-Portrait von Robert Harris zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 7.800,00 (€ 6.095,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Harris mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Interior With Elizabeth Putnam beobachtet, die im November 2011 für CAD 33.000,00 (€ 24.049,06) versteigert wurde.
