In October 2011 Christies in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Australian Art with Works by 20th Century African Artists, which included the work A May Morning by Robert Gwelo Goodman. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,486.11), 19% above the upper estimate. With this result, A May Morning is even the most expensive work of art by Robert Gwelo Goodman that we have observed at auctions so far.
