Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Gaagaagi/ Raven; Saaga'Igan/Lake by Robert Gray Murray for CAD 4,500.00 (€ 3,516.58). This price was achieved in the auction Important Canadian Art at Sothebys in Toronto and was even below the estimate range of CAD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Gray Murray - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Burwash, which sold at auction in May 2011 for CAD 13,800.00 (€ 9,908.43).
