Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Artsy x Phillips: Wrapped/Unwrapped, which included the work Reclining Nude by Robert Arthur Goodnough. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,418.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Arthur Goodnough achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Circle with Red in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,987.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Artsy x Phillips: Wrapped/Unwrapped durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reclining Nude von Robert Arthur Goodnough zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.418,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Arthur Goodnough erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Circle with Red im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.987,15).
