Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Mabou, Winter by Robert Frank was sold in the Photographs from the Polaroid Collection auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2010. The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,204.05), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Frank achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trolley - New Orleans, 1955 in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 663,750.00 (€ 504,062.88).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Mabou, Winter von Robert Frank wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Photographs from the Polaroid Collection bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.204,05) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Frank erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trolley - New Orleans, 1955 im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 663.750,00 (€ 504.062,88).
