Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2002 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work A tranquil river landscape by Robert Fenson. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 822.50 (€ 1,288.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Fenson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Rest On The Bridge; A Quiet Stretch of River; Leaving The Cottage; And Sunset Over A Steeple, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 2,280.00 (€ 3,385.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A tranquil river landscape von Robert Fenson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 822,50 (€ 1.288,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Fenson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Rest On The Bridge; A Quiet Stretch of River; Leaving The Cottage; And Sunset Over A Steeple beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 2.280,00 (€ 3.385,87) versteigert wurde.
