In October 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A shepherd and his flock on a rural track; A maid on a track, with a river and bridge beyond; and A maid on a track by a cottage by Robert Fenson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 960.00 (€ 1,415.71), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Fenson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Rest On The Bridge; A Quiet Stretch of River; Leaving The Cottage; And Sunset Over A Steeple, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 2,280.00 (€ 3,385.87).

Im Oktober 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A shepherd and his flock on a rural track; A maid on a track, with a river and bridge beyond; and A maid on a track by a cottage von Robert Fenson zur Versteigerung kam.
