Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Ernest Roe could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Maritime and Naval Battles auction, the work Unloading the day's catch changed hands for GBP 705.00 (€ 1,152.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Ernest Roe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Battle of Trafalgar, 21st October 1805 in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 44,650.00 (€ 71,646.78).
